Idag flyger jag till Rwanda tillsammans med FNs utvecklingsorgan United Nations Development Programme, UNDP. Tillsammans med andra representanter från Sveriges politiska ungdomsförbund så ska vi studera biståndsarbetet som UNDP driver där. Såhär skriver de själva:
General Objective of visit:
To get first hand knowledge of the development challenges, to find out how the Youth in Rwanda is contributing to the Development of the country and to learn on experience of Youth involvement in the MDGs in a developing country
To learn on efforts in place to attain the MDGs with the partnership of Government and the United Nations
Expected outcomes:
– Clear understanding of youth development role and work in a post conflict country
– Sharing views with youth politicians and parliamentarians in building alliance and awareness in parliament and within their constituencies for MDGs attainment.
– Clear knowledge on United Nations and local partner’s contribution to peace and development.
Så om ni undrar varför det varit lite tyst på bloggen, så är det för att förberedelserna inför denna resa har tagit en del tid. Plus att min kära vän Linda har varit på besök från Italien. Och att det varit Taize-möte i Stockholm dessa dagar som jag arbetat en del med. Men vi syns om en vecka! Ciao belli!
